Our process is a dialogue – between wool, machines and people. When developing new garments, we test methods and stitch techniques. And when working with living materials, variations will occur. Some pieces turn out too long, others too narrow. Not suited for a garment – but far too valuable to discard.

When developing collections and colourways, we source materials for both testing and production. Not all of it is used, and some remains on our shelves.

Makers is part of our continuous journey toward less waste and more circularity. Surplus materials, given new life – in collaboration with you. Limited editions, luckily.

Yarn from our shelves

The latest addition to Makers is yarn from our own production in Ytre Arna.

This is the same yarn used in our garments – in 100% merino wool or our signature blend with silk. Available on cones of 1 and 1.5 kg, suited for both machine knitting and handcraft when worked with multiple strands or combined with other yarns.

We’re starting with a small selection of colours – some you might recognise from our garments. Quantities vary, depending on what remains.

Fabric and kits

Turn surplus fabric into your own treasure, with original Oleana patterns.

Makers includes fabric pieces and sewing kits – such as pillow kits and skirts – developed from materials that didn’t become finished garments.
