When Edda Gimnes meets Oleana, sparks fly in stitch and colour. Hand-drawn meets high-tech – reimagining the warmth and texture of wool, design, and imagination. Made in Norway, at our factory in Ytre Arna. Local craft. Global vision. Made to last.
We pushed each other – and the limits of knitwear.
An exploration of contrasts: art and craft, freehand drawing and technical precision, fashion and tradition. It was harder than we imagined – and more rewarding.
Translating a freehand line into knit – with fewer stitches, fewer colours and strict constraints – was a challenge. Edda’s universe is free, limitless and full of colour. Oleana’s knitting is structured, precise and technical. “It’s about respecting the craft – and understanding the rules before you break them.”
There were many rounds. Long days. Tiny adjustments that changed everything. We worked closely. Pushed limits. Stepped out of our comfort zones – and found new expressions. Sometimes it was frustrating. Other times fun. Often both at once.
We tested patience, precision and proportions. We have picked brains and flowers. The result? Wearable art you won't forget. Design with a signature. Made to last for generations.
