Description and details
The Melderskin scarf is a soft and warming scarf with a considered expression. Knitted in three colours, the surface has depth and a subtle interplay. The design is balanced, full of character, and easy to wear across outfits and occasions.
The scarf is inspired by Mount Melderskin, rising just behind the Barony in Rosendal, by the Hardangerfjord. The name comes from Old Norse — melder (grain) and skin (shine) — referring to the glistening snow that often dusts the mountain peak. This landscape is translated into knit. On closer inspection, a very fine pattern emerges — a miniature take on gingham — building the surface and giving it life and structure. A scarf designed to be worn often, and to pair beautifully with the matching Melderskin wrist warmers.
