Description and details
The Melderskin wrist warmers are soft and warming accessories with a calm yet nuanced expression. Knitted in three colours, the surface has depth and a subtle interplay. The design is restrained yet full of character, making them easy to wear across outfits and occasions.
The wrist warmers are inspired by Mount Melderskin, rising just behind the Barony in Rosendal, by the Hardangerfjord. The name comes from Old Norse — melder (grain) and skin (shine) — referring to the glistening snow that often dusts the mountain peak. This landscape is translated into knit. On closer inspection, a very fine pattern emerges — a miniature take on gingham — building the surface and giving it life and structure. The wrist warmers pair particularly well with the matching Melderskin scarf.
