Description and details
The Tapestry scarf is a two-colour scarf with a rich yet balanced surface. Knitted with decorative borders and diagonal elements, it creates structure and depth. A carefully considered accessory that lifts an outfit and adds character.
The scarf is inspired by the French tapestry dating from the 1660s in Statthalderkammeret, the library, at the Barony in Rosendal. This is the only fully preserved 17th-century interior in Norway, still covered wall to wall with original French tapestry. The tapestry’s ornamental borders and diagonal patterns form the basis of the design. Here, historic ornamentation is translated into knit, where folklore meets the present.
